Out of the box you instantly notice the heft and visual build quality... truly impressive. This sleek block is more stealth designed than I had imagined from previous pictures, looks amazing with new Hi-Fi systems or vintage gear which is my taste. 0n the most important topic... sound improvement. I have always had a slight audible hissing sound from my speakers when there wasn't any input being fed and that sound would dramatically increase with the volume level but was unnoticeable when input was provided. That hissing may have previously not been audible when music/movies were actively playing but it was constantly present anyway. With the ifi power station... there is 100% zero hissing at any volume level when there isn't any input, obviously that clear signal path carries over to when input is present guaranteeing a clearly audible presentation. When you add the clear sound with surge protection on all eight provided plugs, how can you not want this for your precious gear and listening pleasure? Don't let the price push you to an inferior product when you get more than you pay for with this item. No matter how much you spend and what brands make up your video/audio gear you will always have a flawed system if your power source isn't ideal... you can fix that problem with this product, end of story.
